What our customers are saying

A comfortable modest family run motel which provides a free, continental breakfast buffet. A very central location within easy walking distance of all facilities. The staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent value.

Henry (via Booking.com) - August 2016

We chose this motel because it is close to the Centre of town and basic breakfast is included in price of the room. The room itself was clean and warm with a good shower that had instant hot water. The bed was very comfortable with more blankets in the cupboard if required. There was plenty of room for 2 people with 2 bags,a small travel fridge and 4 other bags. The Delicious Noodle Shop is a 5 minute walk from the motel with the best prawn noodle and sambal rice I have ever eaten. A friendly face at the front desk is also a good start. We enjoyed our overnight stay so much we decided to stay here on our return journey back from Sydney. Well worth the price.

Leanne (via Trip Advisor) - August 2016

Central location, good value for money. easy walk to get a meal. The included breakfast was all that we needed.

Christopher (via Booking.com) - August 2016

The bed was very comfortable and room appeared to be clean. Although the motel is old it was still comfortable and very good value having WiFii and a continental breakfast included. The host was considerate when I phoned to say I may be late and arrangements were made. Shower very small and shower head needed a new washer on top screw but had a good water flow and hot water aplenty

Trace (via Booking.com) - August 2016

The location is great. There is only a short walk into town with lots of restaurants a short stroll away. Included breakfast was welcome. The room was surprisingly quiet.

Jennifer (Via Booking.com) - July 2016

Stayed overnight; The room was nice and big, has aircon, the bed is large and there is a bar fridge, kette etc.

Continental Breakfast is included- tea, coffee, cereals and toast (including gluten free).
The manager is really friendly and makes you feel welcome.

The only downfall is the walls are quite thin, so if youre a light sleeper be prepared to be kept up
It didnt bother me till the morning when there was a family with young children next door. Overall, thats my only complaint and really it's not that bad.

The motel is situated within walking distance to town and is easily accessible with free parking.
Overall, top place to stay.

Young & Free (Via Trip Advisor) - July 2016

Good value, basic - not flashy. Was an easy walk to town. Shower great pressure and hot. Room was warm. Breaky was simple but good.

Jacinta (Via Booking.com) - July 2016

We decided to stay at the City Centre Motor inn primarily because if it's close proximity to the city.

The motel is an older style but very clean and well appointed. It has a comfy queen sized bed with an electric blanket which was great on the cold night. It also had a nice quiet air conditioner.

We liked staying here as it was an easy walk to the restaurants and shops downtown.

The room was very quiet during the night with no road noise or adjacent bathrooms and showers running.

The owner operator was very pleasant and for $115 with a great complimentary continental breakfast we felt it great value.

Anita T (Via Trip Advisor) - July 2016

We had a wonderful time at The City Centre Motor Inn. The rooms are clean and the breakfast was great! I would recommend anyone coming to Armidale to stay your Motel. Most appreciated for your hospitality.

Irene Ikafa (via Email) - June 2016

This is a large motel with plenty of parking outside the rooms. The room was very clean with a modern A/C. digital TV, and was nicely decorated.

The motel is an easy walk, of about 2 blocks, from the centre of town where there are a number of good restaurants, hotels, etc.

The continental breakfast was included in the room price, and made for a quick departure.

SoloRider86 (via TripAdvisor) - June 2016

Bed very comfy. Room nice and warm and as we were there on a very cold frosty night, that was very important. Bonus continental breakfast was very nice and had choices of bread etc. Host very helpful in guiding us to where to eat.

Catherine (Via Booking.com) - June 2016

We booked this motel because it was close to town, reasonably priced and included breakfast. We didn't expect much for such a cheap rate but the room was very clean, tidy and suitable for our needs.

The managers were so lovely and nothing was too much trouble, even though they were having a very busy weekend.

I was impressed that there was gluten/egg free bread available for breakfast too! I would have liked a bit of fruit on offer for breakfast but we might have been there a bit late for that. We also could have asked but I wasn't that worried!

Nyanda A (via Trip Advisor) - May 2016

We enjoyed our stay with you recently and particularly noticed the friendly atmosphere and the excellent service.  We also enjoyed the well thought out and presented breakfast. It certainly made traveling easier and more enjoyable.

Brownwyn (via Email) - April 2016

We stayed in this motel overnight enroute to the Gold Coast. The motel is a short walking distance to the city centre. Our tariff included a continental breakfast in the dining room which was a welcome surprise. The motel is an older property but met our needs considering we were staying overnight. If you have luggage it would help to book a downstairs unit. The management were helpful.

Russell (via Trip Advisor) - April 2016

There is no hiding the fact that this place is in close to original condition but it is very clean, well located and run by good people.

All up with the free breakfast the value proposition is excellent.

Ideal for a short well priced stay.

Rooms have a small but new flat screen TV, fridge and coffee making facilities.

BRJ (Via Trip Advisor) - April 2016

This motel was pretty good for what we needed being very close to The Armidale School for the annual Rugby Carnival. Rooms were very clean and nicely presented. Staff were efficient and friendly. Free Wifi, Austar and free breakfast was a big plus for the kids. All in all worth considering if you're looking to rest your head in a basic no fuss motel.

Tanya (via Trip Advisor) - April 2016

This place was close to all facilities and a park across the road for the kids to spend their energy! The ducted heating was excellent because it does cold in Armidale overnight. Nothing was a fuss and breakfast was just right.

Stuart (via Trip Advisor) - April 2016

Clean shower & room, good sized room, good quiet location. Surprised light breakfast included in price

Glenda (via Booking.com) - March 2016

Good service, clean and well presented room and excellent breakfast for cost. Receptionist was happy to help with ideas of eating out etc, and was correct on choices available.

Gerard - March 2016

If you are looking for a good budget hotel in Armidale this motel is fine. The bed and bedding comfortable as is the aircon. A more than adequate continental breakfast is included and the staff are very friendly. Would stay again if passing through.

Michael K (via Trip Advisor) - February 2016

It was well located. The staff were very helpful and very, very pleasant. The rooms were lovely and clean and the breakfast while simple was very lovely.

Heidi (via Booking.com) - January 2016

Very central, comfortable bed, very pleasant and helpful owner, decor is dated and mismatched but functional, very clean, bathroom is old but quite functional, excellent shower, hair dryer that actually works, room size ok.

Lyn (via Booking.com) - January 2016

Outstanding service from staff, happy and friendly. Great location just off town centre. Great value for money as is very clean and tidy.

Leeanne (via Booking.com) - January 2016

This motel is very clean and the reception is very efficient. It is within walking distance of the CBD and the local hotel serves good dinners. The room was very quiet, which I didn't expect, given the location. Bathroom is a bit old fashioned and needs a new shower head. There was a pool of water under the bathroom cabinet on our arrival which the Manager took care of. The continental breakfast was excellent and constantly replenished. The motel is pet friendly. There are rooms on the ground and first floors and there wasn't an obvious lift.

V B (via Trip Advisor) - January 2016

A conveniently placed hotel located close to everything you need. Bathrooms were a bit dated and shower head could be improved but overall very good value ($110) for an overnight stay for 2. Continental breakfast included which was a nice surprise with a variety of choices available. Beds were quite comfortable. Would stay again if passing through the town.

James C (via Trip Advisor) - January 2016

The complimentary breakfast, juice, tea coffee, a great selection of cereals and fresh breads. And gluten free bread. Very thoughtful , and a money saver

Samantha - Via Booking.com - October 2015

Was happy overall with cleanliness, comfort and staff service. and a bonus that breakfast is included in the price. we are heading back up again for an overnight stay in Armidale for work purposed and have booked this motel again. :)

Kaylene - via Booking.com - October 2015

Clean, spacious, and super-friendly staff. Great for the price, plus it included continental breakfast. Definitely worth visiting again, particularly for the price.

Annalise - via Booking.com - September 2015

It was great to receive such a warm welcome and, with my questions, you answered in a most friendly, helpful manner.  I found the bed and pillows comfortable and warm.  And the shower is the best I've had in ages!!  The continental breakfast was a real surprise--good variety of cereals, breads, hot drinks, spreads for toast, etc.  And of course the location is great.  And, for those driving, more than adequate parking spots.

Theresa - September 2015

I stayed here during a recent UNE intensive course. Not flashy, and not its intention given the price bracket to appeal to the more budget-conscience. The room and amenities were perfectly comfortable and more than adequate for my needs. Table/ chairs, bar fridge (with freezer) and microwave, kettle, tea/coffee included. No problems with wifi connection, and the continental breakfast and fresh filtered coffee set me up well for the day. Perfect location: A few minutes stroll (through a nice park) into centre of Armidale. I recommend "The Welder's Dog" craft beer bar for nice beers/ ales, wood fire, and a relaxed vibe. No food served but can get a good priced pizza from "Armidale Pizza" next door and bring it in or have it "delivered" to the pub. A short drive to UNE, or onto the touristy places (e.g. Waterfall Way). Good, friendly service from Neil and team. Recommended.

We enjoyed our stop over in Armidale. Your motel was easy to find, was very comfortable and good value with the breakfast part of the deal.  We were refreshed for the next leg of our trip north.

Joy & Stan (our website) - March 2015

City Centre Motor Inn was perfect for us for an overnight stay in Armidale. Close to town we could walk down to shops, restaurants and park and yet we were undisturbed by traffic noise.

John (booking.com) - January 2015

We both appreciated quality fresh clean sheets, comfortable beds, free continental breakfast, friendly Manager, very good for older accommodation for overnight stay and very short walk to city, park, churches, cafes, cinema, shops. K & M,from Brisbane.

Kaye (booking.com) - January 2015

Very good value for money with a bottle of wine on arrival, and breakfast included in the morning The gentleman who greeted us was charming and hospitable Breakfast was fantastic with a wide range of cereal as well as GF bread Excellent! The bedspread..it's a little dated.

Donna (booking.com) - January 2015

clean and as described, nothing more, nothing less. Relaxed and friendly staff.

A.Smith from Brisbane (Wotif) - November 2014

Easy to find, close to everything and easy to get to UNE

Irene from Canberra (Wotif) - November 2014

Very nice motel, clean, comfortable, quiet, pleasant host.

Graham Hyman (Google reviews) - October 2014

We had an overnight stay here recently, rooms are a bit "old school", however they are quite functional, I was concerned about proximity to Dangar Road, however, overnight was quiet (a Friday night) and had a good sleep (bed was nice and comfy), at least till morning traffic started and by then was of no concern. Dining room was fairly busy with the necessities for breakfast. Great location - park the car and forget about it - you can walk to anything in Armidale CBD. The gentleman at reception was very helpful and welcoming.

mrnudie (TripAdvisor) - October 2014

Neat and tidy no fuss joint with a friendly welcome and free breakfast. A bit dated but all clean and reasonably priced.

Great spot to stopover for an evening on the roadtrip from Melbourne to Queensland

Luke from Melbourne (Wotif) - September 2014

My first time staying here was on my way home after staying at Novotel in Newcastle which is a 5 star motel. I would much rather stay here at the City Centre any day.

Staff are friendly & helpful. The rooms are decent size & very clean & comfortable containing everything you need for the price you pay. Bed was very comfortable & had a great sleep. The showers are nice & hot with good water pressure. The complimentary breakfast that is included is nice.

Motel is located close to the CBD & many nice restaurants & pubs.
After my first stay was enjoyable I have since stayed again & have plans to stay there a few more times over the coming months.

Would recommend this motel to all friends & family.
